Grab a box of your favourite crackers, select a dip or two and slice up the cheese.
Treat Mum to a tasty picnic lunch this Sunday to celebrate Mother’s day.
The Love Urunga Mother’s Day Picnic is sure to be a feast for the eyes, ears and taste buds this year as the popular event is combined with ARTURUNGA Sculpture in the Park at the Morgo Street Reserve.
Some retail therapy can also be accommodated as the popular Urunga Riverside Markets will also be happening on the day.
The festivities will begin at 10am and conclude at 3pm and both the art exhibit and the picnic are free to attend.
Whether Mum loves a bit of cabanossi or the blackest of olives from the Mediterranean, head to the deli to stock up and treat the lady who gave the gift of life to you.
Happy kids makes for a happy mum so there will be plenty of fun, entertainment and activities for the kids so mum can make the most of the picnic.
Whether Mum spends her days nursing newborns or taming toddlers, wrangling teenagers or still parenting young adults needing guidance, a mothers’ job is never done. Show her how special she is, make her a little sampler plate of sandwiches. The favourites’ egg and lettuce and ham, cheese and tomato will go down a treat.
Pack in some grapes or fresh fruit as the perfect picnic accompaniment. Lay a rug down and be part of the fun and festivities.
What better way to spoil Mum, sit back and listen to live music on the Riverside Stage, walk amongst some brilliant works of art created by some of the North Coast’s most respected sculptors and enjoy the variety of tasty foods on offer.
There will be over 50 sculptures, displayed for all to enjoy and food and drink stalls for refreshments.
ARTURUNGA Sculpture in the Park was postponed from a rainy January date and should prove a real treat on Mother’s Day. Highlights on the Riverside stage include The Jug Addicts from Armidale and Bellingen’s very own Jazz Maestro, Brett Iggulden and the Night Hawks.
