It is a different style and type of racing than the road circuit and Huxley is excited for the new challenge.
He travelled to Milbrodale on the weekend to compete in the 31st Milbrodale Mountain Classic.
There were 76 cars competing in the tournament and Huxley finished in second place in his pro class and third overall in the entire event.
It is a remarkable effort in Huxley’s first event at the track and it was his first time in the new buggy.
His attention now turns to the local event held at Wittitirin, 20km west of Kempsey, on Saturday and Sunday August 26 and 27.
The event marks round five of the NSW Off-road Championship and round two of the NSW Premier Long Course series.
Entry forms for the event are now open.
