The talented musicians include Jessica An and Rachel Williams on violin, Maria Fedotov on viola, Alisdair Guiney on cello, Will Nichols on harp with David Miller on piano.
David Miller, who has been on the staff of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music since 1980, is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading pianists, chamber musicians and vocal accompanists. He has been appointed as a member of the Order of Australia for his service to music.
The repertoire will include chamber music featuring The Swan from Carnival of the Animals and pieces from Borodin, Haydn, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky. Solo pieces include Vieuxtemps, Prokofiev, Bach and Ravel on violin, Brahms and Weber on viola, Tchaikovsky, Bach and Brahms on cello and Elias Parish Alvars, Hindemith and Louis Spohr on harp.
The Sydney Conservatorium concerts are always extremely popular and this is a great opportunity to see and hear some of Australia’s most talented young musicians. Tickets are $15 for NVAC members, $20 for non-members and are available in advance at Hello World Travel and at the door.
