Kempsey’s backs were against the wall heading into the match. They needed to win their remaining three games and have other results go their way to move into the top five and play in the finals series.
The season didn’t go according to plan for Kempsey, who lost matches by narrow margins and weren’t able to find consistent results.
Saints won four matches, drew twice while they lost eight.
The side currently sits in seventh position and they are eight points behind Wallis Lakes who are in fifth spot and the last finals position.
They will play for pride in their final two games of the season, against the Wauchope Soccer Club and the Taree Wildcats.
