With your help these trees can provide ongoing food and a home for a large range of native species such as wompoo fruit doves, brush tailed possums, sugar gliders, powerful owls, square-tailed kites, microbats, northern brown bandicoots and …. people.
The trees will help provide a beautiful backdrop to Connell Park and play an important role in filtering urban runoff before it enters Cemetery Creek and the Bellinger River.
The working bee will be led by trained bush regenerators so will provide a great way to learn about local rainforest and bush tucker, and share some yummy morning tea provided by BULC.
See you there this Sunday August 27 from 9am to midday, behind the netball courts downstream from the swimming pool at Connell Park, Bellingen.
