The funds will be divided among Veterans Centre Mid North Coast and Legacy Welfare Fund, receiving $30,976 and $15,085 respectively.
Nationals Member for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker welcomed the additional funding.
“The quality of life for our returning service men and women is incredibly important and the amount or style of support needed by each former service person is different,” Mr Hartsuyker said.
“Some of our returning service personnel need far more support than others, and so our support services need to be flexible in order to adapt to the needs of the individual.
“Because of the wide range of possible needs, creating the right support package can be a complicated and time-consuming task but we owe it to our veterans to get it right.
“These funds contribute to the training costs of these organisations in order to ensure their staff are trained and equipped to provide the best service to their clients.”
