Have you got tickets for the Midnight Oil concert in Coffs Harbour on October 19? And have you been wondering about parking once you get to Coffs?
There will be off-site parking and transport available to and from the concert site, which due to heavy rain on the weekend has been changed to the carpark of the CEX Coffs International Stadium.
Due to the venue change and the loss of immediate car parking around the stadium, concertgoers are being urged to use the shuttle bus services, which have been organised running to and from the concert on Thursday.
Additional buses are being booked to cater for increased crowds.
Parking off-site
For those wishing to avoid congestion and park away from the concert site, parking is available at Coffs Racecourse in Howard St and also in the City Centre.
Buses will leave the Racecourse at 4pm, proceed to City Centre Park Ave (outside Radiology Centre) pick up at approx 4.10-4.15pm, then run to the concert site and do a continuous loop to the concert site and back to racecourse, Park Ave and so on.
Those wishing to use the service should look for the bus with the MIDNIGHT OIL sign on it and should see a bus every 15-20 minutes from 4pm until approx 6.30pm or as required if the demand is there.
The service is free both ways.
When the concert finishes after 10pm, additional buses will leave the new bus assembly area on Stadium Drive to ferry patrons back to both Racecourse, then city centre, back to Stadium Drive continuously until there is no one left to pick up .
The Hoey Moey Hotel will also run a continuous free shuttle service both from the hotel before the event & back to the hotel after the event on the day. Just ask at the bar after 4pm on the day.
