It was agreed following a successful 50th reunion some years ago that ex-students and staff would meet each year, giving everyone the opportunity to strengthen and renew friendships from those memorable school days.
The gathering has always been coordinated by Dot McDonald, who has remained on the Macleay all her life and takes on the task of contacting former students and making necessary bookings for the event to be successful each year.
This year, the function was well-attended with people travelling from Sydney in the South to Coffs Harbour in the north and all points in between.
All who made the journey enjoyed reminiscing and swapping unforgettable stories of their old school days, as well as catching up on major events from each other’s lives spanning more than fifty years.
In a group such as this it is surprising how many queries are made about school friends who are not in attendance, so if you hear about us or receive an invitation, please consider making the decision to join us in meeting friends from 'Ye olde' school days.
'Au revoir' until October 2018.
