It shouldn’t be confused with another stunning waterfall further inland near Armidale with a very similar name – Dangars Falls (also known as Dangarsleigh Falls).
At the top of Dorrigo’s Dangar Falls you will find a car park, a viewing platform, toilets, picnic tables, barbecues, a playground and an easy walking trail that leads you to the river at the bottom of the waterfall.
The falls cascade into a large pool that is a popular swimming spot.
Last weekend, Jackson Adams took his young family there. He took his drone as well, and made the video below as a record of their visit.
Directions from Dorrigo:
Head north along Hickory Street for 500m; continue onto Vine Street for 600m; continue onto Coramba Road for 1km; park in the Dangar Falls parking area. Take the walking track to the base of the falls and waterhole.
