The junior will compete in the U12s age group in the sprint and flags events.
Hat Head Surf Life Saving Club’s nippers co-ordinator, age and team manager Nicole Browne nominated Zoe for selection into the representative team.
“Zoe is one of our top athletes at the club,” Browne said.
“I was recommended by a Mid North Coast Branch official at a carnival last season to nominate her so I was confident she was going to be selected.”
Zoe is the only representative from Hat Head to be picked to compete in the NSW Interbranch Championships and the club is extremely proud.
“It has been quite a few years since someone from Hat Head has been selected to represent the Mid North Coast,” Browne said.
“She will represent the club well and we are all behind her.”
Zoe is entering her third season competing in nippers and is looking forward to competing in the Interbranch Championships before representing Hat Head at the NSW Country Championships at South West Rocks in February.
The junior missed the event last year due to a sprained ankle.
