The Crescent Head resident lead NSW to the title and earned an additional gold medal as the joint top goal scorer for the tournament.
Lyn is no stranger to representing her state at the national competition and she won gold at last year’s carnival.
“It was an amazing experience to play hockey with so many other mature-aged players,” Lyn said.
“We all value our fitness and have had to follow a stringent training program in preparation for the tournament.”
On the back of her dominant performance for NSW, Lyn was selected to represent Australia next year at the International Masters World Cup to be held in Spain.
“That was a humbling yet exhilarating experience,” Lyn said.
“Once again, I will have the opportunity play alongside and against some of the world’s best and most experienced hockey players.”
Lyn will rejoin her teammates in the Australian side after she represented her country earlier this year in Wales and England at the Home Nations Tournament.
“The competition was fierce but we Aussies did our country proud”, she said.
Lyn will continue her training and looks forward to the 2018 season.
