It’s been a non-stop two years for them and they have loved getting to know the locals.
“Our twin girls were born three days after we opened and turn two this weekend,” Victoria said.
“Our customers have seen them grown up at the restaurant or around town as they are hard to miss. Whilst juggling our young family we have loved hosting some great celebrations at Cedar. We’ve had every type of party at Cedar; engagement cocktail parties, sit down 50th anniversary dinners, first birthdays for little bubs and even a great grandmother’s 90th birthday party.”
“There’s been high tea baby showers and glamourous hen’s parties but our favourite has been hosting the beautiful wedding ceremonies and receptions,” Victoria said.
Hosting a whopping 26 wedding celebrations with another 20 booked for 2018, Victoria and Paul really enjoy hosting so many loved-up couples, and their family and friends.
“We’ve had huge cocktail parties, grand share feasts, home-style buffets and a surprise wedding too. Lots of our couples we host either grew up in the shire or have recently moved back to start a family. It’s been great to see the flow-on effect when these weddings draw so many visiting guests into Bellingen for the weekend long celebrations,” Victoria said.
Embracing the local Bello music scene Cedar Bar & Kitchen now showcases free live music every night from 7pm.
Their Happy Friday afternoons have been a huge success this year with $5 drinks from 12 to 6pm, the perfect opportunity to wind down after a long and busy week.
Wednesday nights are really busy since the launch of Locals Night, where for $24 you can buy a main meal and glass of wine, with the night set to continue into 2018.
The team, a passionate bunch of foodies are always reinventing the menu to embrace the best seasonal produce.
“There are so many incredible producers in the Bellingen Shire and Coffs Coast region and we always try to buy local whenever possible. Our kitchen team love coming up with new and inventive dishes always making sure we have gluten free options plus tasty dishes for vegetarians and vegans,” Victoria said.
In 2018, customers can expect lots of great music, food, drinks and good times at Cedar Bar & Kitchen, just as Victoira and Paul have offered for the past two years.
Victoria and Paul would also like to send Christmas wishes to their loyal customers, staff and suppliers.
