The AGM has been run and a new committee is in place. A big thank you to outgoing chairman Ian Smith for all his efforts over the last few seasons. With this responsibility off his shoulders we are looking forward to some excellent displays on the paddock.
New players from Bellingen, Urunga or Dorrigo (as the name implies) are always welcome to join. The only prerequisite is that you are 35 or over and a $25 registration fee. That’s it! No fitness, no skill (but it probably helps if you enjoy an ale or two!). There is no requirement to play all games but all players are asked to email their availability to Paul Bastick at pbastick@lism.catholic.edu.au
There will be a 2-man 9-hole ambrose golf day at Bellingen golf course vs Coffs Gropers this Sunday February 25. All welcome to come, assemble at 12-12.30pm for a 1pm hit off. Teams will be selected, no skill required, just a great chance to meet the players prior to the season.
The first tournament will be at Port Macquarie on Saturday March 3. This is arguably the trip of the season and all who go enjoy battling the mighty Eastwood. If you only make one trip this season this is it! (email your intentions and to book a seat now.)
There will be a bus departing from Hickey’s Garage at a time to be confirmed. All players must be insured (a cost of $25) before taking the field and are welcome to “train” on Wednesday nights 6pm at Urunga touch football.
Rugby the game they play in heaven and remember
