Organised by the Nambucca Valley Cycle Club, the 'Jills at Jacks' race event is designed to give girls and women the opportunity to compete in an encouraging and friendly atmosphere.
There are three different categories based on skill levels and experience, with the option of entering as a solo racer, or as a team of two.
Entry is free for young women under 19 years; anyone over that age will pay $40 (solo) or $20 (per rider in a team). A race license or temporary day license may also need to be purchased, however there is an option to arrange a free temporary license for the day.
Under national Mountain Bike Australia regulations girls under 10 years may not race – so to cater for these up and coming young riders there’ll be a short non-competitive ride prior to the main event, which will be free to enter.
For more information and to enter, please visit the 'Jills at Jacks' Facebook page, or the Nambucca Valley Cycle Club website at www.jacksridge.com.au
