The match was switched to Nambucca Heads after the turf at Macksville was deemed too wet for the 40-over contest between Heads and Scotts Head.
The winner will face Nambucca Hotel in the grand final.
Scudding showers made the infield slow, and Nambucca Heads would have been reasonably happy when they were all out – on the last ball – for 142, with David Marchant starring with 53.
Best with the ball for Scotts was Tom Barber who collected four scalps for a measly 17 runs.
In reply, it was a disastrous first over for Scotts as cries of yes, no, sorry, led to a runout in the first over.
But they steadied the ship and Ryan Gleeson was swiping boundaries down leg side to set up an intriguing contest.
