While the structure of the Cooper-Finlay Cup provides for a competitive approach, the organisers believe this should not result in ‘over competiveness’ or overshadow what they believe is the championships’ main purpose – to provide an opportunity for cricketers of all standards despite their advancing years.
The tournament will be played in divisions for over 60 year and over 70 year players.
The event will run over two days and the local matches are: Monday: Over 60s Division 2 NSW Waratahs V Queensland Country 2, Macksville Thistle Park. Tuesday: Over 60s Division 1 NSW Blues V Queensland Country 1, Macksville Thistle Park.
