The Kempsey Heights Bowling Club has undergone extensive renovations recently.
Inside and outside the club house has been totally refreshed, providing a modern new look venue for patrons and club members to enjoy into the future.
Affectionately known as ‘The Fountain on the Mountain’ and located at 10 Polwood Street, West Kempsey, the club has been a prime feature of the town since it was first built in 1961.
Proudly serving locals for the last 57 years, the Bowling club’s new updated look makes it the most modern venue in the area, to celebrate a special occasion or enjoy a meal, refreshment or great live entertainment.
The Kempsey Heights Bowling club has long been a place can gather with family and friends and the renovations have brought it right up to date, and ultimately back to life.
“We have rendered the outside of the club house in colourbond june, which is a shade of grey,
“It has really brought the building, back to life from the blonde-faced brick look of the 60s.” Kempsey Heights Bowling club CEO, Mr Kerr Black said.
“I would like to say a big special thank you, to our cleaner and handyman Mr Gary Thurlow, and to our club CEO, Mr Kerr Black.” Chairman of the bowling club, Terry Burley said.
The new renovations include; fresh paint to the interior walls in modern and calm earthy tones, a stand-out teal feature wall and new carpet in a new swirl inspired design, that has the interior looking fresh and new.

“We want to offer our guests great live entertainment and refreshments in a comfortable and modern setting and I feel we have really delivered.
“We have already received many compliments in regards to the new changes, club patrons feel that the place has really been updated and they are as excited about the fresh new look of the club as we are.” Mr Black said.
The gaming area has been updated, and when you choose a table to enjoy your bistro meal, you will notice, the new natural timber furniture chosen in an earthy oak colour, that compliments the interior’s design. They now have really comfortable seating as well to complete their new interior updates.
There haven’t been any major changes to the floor plan or structure of the club building so you will still find the bar and your bistro food in the same location. While minor structural improvements have been undertaken in the building, most guests won’t notice those changes, however the teal feature wall will certainly capture your eye.
“Not too far in the future, there are plans to totally refresh the bistro menu and make a few more inside minor changes.” Chairman of the Bowling club, Mr Terry Burley said.
“I would like to say a big special thank you, to our cleaner and handyman Mr Gary Thurlow, we wouldn’t have achieved so much without his help and dedication to the club’s renovations and to our CEO, Mr Kerr Black as he has really seen the project through.
“The club house has been brought up to date and into line with the times, the function room has been refreshed and is ideal for any celebration.” Mr Burley said.
