The seven-year-old has overcame hurdles to represent the Saints Netball team in the local Macleay Netball Competition.
At a young age, Issabelle was badly burnt and required skin grafts. However, the junior netball player gives everything her best effort.
“I am so proud of how far she has come, she goes about her daily school and play as any other happy little seven-year-old,” Issabelle’s grandmother Karyn Brenton said.
To be considered for the award, simply provide information on the individual’s achievement and send it to callum.mcgregor@fairfaxmedia.com.au
A sportsperson of the year will be decided upon in January 2018 with an additional voucher of $500 for the restaurant awarded to the winner.
A panel of judges from the Macleay Argus will determine the monthly and year winners.
Nominations need to be submitted by the first day of the following month.
