The hefty loss comes as a surprise after the Saints had impressed in their pre-season matches and in their round one victory on the road against Wauchope a fortnight ago.
Saints knew United are a difficult opponent to face but entered the match confident of earning a victory against last year’s grand finalists.
The loss sends Saints back to the drawing board ahead of their next Premier League match in a fortnight’s time when they face the Forster-Tuncurry Tigers on the road.
The Saints currently sit in sixth position on the ladder after the opening two rounds.
Kempsey have the advantage of taking the field next week as they contest the third round of the FFA Cup against Port Saints.
The match will be held at Eden St Oval at 3pm next Saturday.
The winning side will advance to the fourth round and face a side outside of the Football Mid North Coast Premier League competition.
Meanwhile the Kempsey Saints reserve grade side fell 1-0 to Port United on Saturday.
The loss comes a week after they handed Wauchope an 11-0 thrashing.
The two Kempsey Saints women’s sides have found form early in the season with the Green team leading the competition after recording two victories.
The White side recorded a draw in the opening round and won on the weekend.
