Hundreds braved the rain to pay their respects to the ANZAC soldiers at the South West Rocks dawn service held today.

The ANZAC commemorations began at 5.30am at the South West Rocks memorial.
ANZAC Day Services in the region will continue throughout the morning:
- South Kempsey Cemetary, a congregation will assemble at 7am
- West Kempsey Cemetary, a group will pay their respects at 7.20am
- Marches will assemble next to the service station on Sydney St in Kempsey at 10.15am to march to the East Kempsey Cenotaph at 10.30am for a 10.55am ANZAC Day service.
- Marchers will assemble at the Stuarts Point Bowling Club at 10.30am for a 10.40am departure, with an ANZAC Day service to be held at the memorial at 11am.
- A dawn service was held at Willawarrin at 5.20am and another ANZAC Commemoration Service will be at 9am.
- A dawn service was also held at South West Rocks and there will be another ANZAC service at 11am with a luncheon at the South West Rocks Country Club to follow.
- In other parts of the Macleay commemoration services will be held as follows: Bellbrook 10.55am, Crescent Head 9am, Frederickton 9am, Gladstone 10.55am and Hat Head 10am at the Bowling Club.
