The win advances the Melville High School football team to the second round of the Bill Turner Cup.
It was a tight contest to begin the match with both sides feeling each other out.
However, Melville opened the scoring through Bodhi Pierpoint before Port quickly equalised from the penalty spot.
Melville began to control the game and created numerous opportunities and were rewarded with Jack Lebroq finding the back of the net on two occasions before half-time.
The Kempsey side continued to press in the second half and extended their lead through striker Tyler King.
Port grabbed one back to give themselves a glimmer of hope but it wasn’t to be as King grabbed his second to put the game to bed.
Melville High School will face the winning side of the West Port and Wauchope match in the second round of the Bill Turner Cup.
