They faced with a resilient Kempey High School but ultimately Melville proved too strong.
Kempsey defended desperately throughout the first half but Melville’s persistence was rewarded with a goal in the final minutes before the half-time whistle.
Melville went on with the job in the second half to earn a comfortable 7-1 victory.
The win advances Melville to the next stage of the Bill Turner Trophy and they will face the winner of the West Port High School and Wauchope High School match.
