Bellingen High School had 23 runners compete at the North Coast CHS Cross Country Championships held on Wednesday, 13th June at Nana Glen. These championships include the best runners from 37 high schools from Wauchope in the south to the Queensland border.

In each age group fields can be as big as 40 runners; however, most have at least 30 runners.
From all these runners Bellingen High School boasted three age champions on the day: Willow Neal – 16 years girls champion; Bonnie Malt – 12 years girls champion; Kyan Upsall – 13 years boys champion.
There were also three other runners who reached the podium finishing in bronze position: Nadia Birch – 17 years girls; Brynne Couper – 16 years girls; Malachi Bailey – 13 years boys.
There were another seven runners who qualified for state; Brodie Young – 4th 12 years boys; Paige Keough – 10th 13 years girls; Ben Luppi – 9th 14 years boys; Ashley Sticker – 6th 15 years girls; Jessica Bailey - 4th 16 years girls; Sophie Keough – 5th 16 years girls; Jackson Boyd – 4th 17 years boys.
What amazing results for so many talented runners! They will be off to Eastern Creek in Sydney on Friday July 27 to run against the best in the state.
