Davis-Welsh showcased her footwork and knack at finding the try line when she broke the 6-6 deadlock in the 37th minute.
The 22-year-old, who was playing on the wing, received the ball in space and stepped off her left foot to evade Queensland centre Meg Ward before she dove between Zahara Temara and Chelsea Baker for the four-pointer.
Davis-Welsh, who plays fullback for her club side the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, had a solid performance and worked hard to get involved in the contest.
The flyer produced dummy half runs from inside the NSW half which helped get the side out of danger while she was safe under the high ball.
Davis-Welsh has won all three of her NSW representative matches.
The inaugural Women’s State of Origin match was a massive success with crowd figures and television viewers surpassing expectations.
Davis-Welsh has signed with the Sydney Roosters for the inaugural Women’s NRL Premiership to commence later this year.
The representative star made her debut for the Jillaroos at the 2017 World Cup and lined up at fullback for the team that won the final against New Zealand.
Davis-Welsh has been an Indigenous All Stars representative since she was 16.
