AS residents of Nambucca Heads, can someone please explain to us why, along the new highway, that the town of Macksville has three beautiful coloured photos advertising Macksville, but Nambucca has none along the same stretch?

Maybe this should be looked into and rectified.

Editor’s note:
A story explaining that the new pictureboard highway signage at Macksville was part of a trial was published by the Guardian last week.
Roads Minister and local MP Melinda Pavey noted that a review of the effectiveness of the new signage would be reported upon later this year, and that if the signage was found to be favourable for encouraging tourism, the signs could be rolled out to other towns which have been bypassed, such as Nambucca Heads.
Since that story appeared, a third pictureboard sign for Macksville popped up a few days ago near the Warrell Creek highway works – just a few hundred metres from a pictureboard sign installed at the time of the opening of the Macksville to Nambucca Heads bypass.
