The 2018 Kempsey Golf Club “Winter Cup” was held last Saturday with the veteran Mike Brady claiming the Cup with a 3under par net score of 69.

With a good field of players hitting off in the Kempsey Macleay RSL 18 hole Single Stroke event the day was also the members Monthly Medals for each grade.
On the day there were visitors from SWR, Frederickton, Nambucca Heads, Crescent Head.
A thank you goes to the RSL for there sponsorship of the day and to all the volunteers for there work on the course during the week.
The winners of the Medals on the day were Brady ‘A’, Peter Callaghan “B” with a net 71, Murray Addison “C” a net 75. All 3 players will now play for the coveted Gold medal in November.
With Brady the overall winner the “A” grade winner on the day was Duane Button with a net 71 on a count back from the runner up Peter Steffensen also with 71.
In the “B” grade the winner was Don Kemp from SWR with his net 70, with Callaghan as the runner up.
With Addison the winner in “C” grade the runner up was Darcy Ellis with a net 76. The weekly Junior winner was Carlin Dunbar-Rudd.
The weekly ball competition saw players with a 76 net on a count back receive a ball and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event last Saturday.
Tomorrow at the Kempsey Golf Club the 2018 Coopers 18 hole 3 person Ambrose event will be held with lots of top prizes up for grabs.
All players wishing to play can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round.
A reminder to all players that the 2018 EIEIO Golf day will be held on Saturday July 21.
This will also,be the “Dick Hilliard Memorial” Golf day and all intending players can book in now for this event. For more info about any upcoming event at the club just give the club a call now.
