It leaves the Mustangs in a precarious position where they will have to defeat the Old Bar Pirates, who are currently in second position, to advance to the finals.
It’s a tough ask for the Mustangs but they will be sure to put up a fight in front of their home crowd.
Meanwhile the Under-18.5s side returned to winning ways with a comfortable 30-10 victory over the bottom-placed Wauchope Blues.
The victory lifts the Mustangs into third-place on the ladder and sets up a mouthwatering clash with the Pirates, who are in second place, in the final round of the regular season.
The Mustangs are guaranteed a finals spot but a victory would give them a second chance throughout the finals series while a loss will likely force them into an elimination final.
