While the Forster-Tuncurry Tigers are also in the hunt for a top five spot, the Redbacks are more likely to pose a threat to Saints’ finals aspirations.
Saints currently sit in fourth position on equal competition points with the Taree Wildcats, who sit in fifth place.
Meanwhile the Redbacks trail the two sides by three competition points, the exact value of a victory.
Therefore a loss would be devastating for the Saints, however they do have the benefit of holding a superior goal difference.
Saints earned a 2-1 victory when the sides met earlier this season.
While a loss would hurt the Saints, a win would almost certainly lock up a finals spot.
There’s four rounds remaining in the competition, including this Saturday’s fixture.
