Larissa Lewis from the group said MUDFY was the initiative of the Urunga-Mylestom Chamber of Commerce and consisted of local businesses, charity groups and care providers.
The group met with Judy Bartholomew from Dementia Australia last week to discuss working toward making the town of Urunga more accessible, inclusive and educated on the needs of people living with dementia, their carer’s, family and friends.
“MUDFY is preparing for community and local business consultation to improve service and accessibility in the area,” Larissa said.
The group is looking for interested members of the public who may care for or have been diagnosed with dementia to join them!
