The awards were held last Saturday night in the Hunter Valley and pharmacist Greg Hollier said he was amazed that the store took out two of the top awards on the night.

“It filled us with pride. We were up against some really good and well presented stores and were also up against a few that had won in previous years,” he said.

“There are about 70 Amcal stores in NSW, so to win is really incredible.”

The awards are first held in each state before the winners go up against each other for the national award.

“The national awards are held next year in March and we’re hoping we’ll go well and take out the award at that competition too,” Mr Hollier said.

Mr Hollier said his staff are the ones who put in the hard work and continue to ensure the high quality of their store in Kempsey.

“I’m just thankful to my staff, they work hard and keep the store looking beautiful. We’re very lucky,” he said.
