The aim of the promotional booklet ‘Invest in You’ is to bring in any potential investors or people wanting to relocate to the Macleay Valley.
The morning tea in Council’s courtyard was also to introduce the new council division aimed at improving relationships between local businesses and council.
Manager of Commercial Business, Gayleen Burley, said the new plan will allow for these relationships to strengthen.
“Local businesses will have input and having a council division aimed at continuing to build relationships between council and business owners in the area will benefit the community,” Ms Burley said.
“Council is excited for further businesses to come to the area and the 10 year plan will help the Macleay grow economically.”
Mayor Liz Campbell spoke at the launch and said economic growth is something council is working towards for the area.
“This council does place a high priority on growing our economy, enhancing our community’s lifestyle and advancing quality employment opportunities,” Cr Campbell said.
The ‘Invest in You’ booklet gives an overview of local facilities, business profiles, tourism offerings and key economic data. It’s available on Kempsey Shire Council’s website or there is a hard copy available through council’s service centre.
