Ms Connors has been charged with ‘misconduct in public office’ regarding an alleged relationship with an inmate at the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre while she was working as a prison officer at the facility and a separate charge of larceny.

Ms Connors pleaded not guilty to the larceny charge but no mention was made of the first charge.

Ms Connors refused to answer questions while leaving court.

The case has been adjourned until November 21.
