The event saw hundreds of keen runners and walkers take to the beach for the 5km, 10km, 15km or 20km events.
Organiser of the event, Jo Watts from the Crescent Head Lions Club said the number of competitors on the day was really great and she praised them for continuing to ensure the event is a success.
“We had a lot more entrants compared to the last three years. This year we had 235 people in the event, it was a really great day,” she said.
“We’re a really small club and everyone involved in organising the day worked really hard and the participants were just amazing.”
Each year the Lions Club supports a charity on the day, and for the second year in a row they worked with local charity Baylin’s Gift.
There was a friendly and supportive atmosphere on the day, with participants cheering each other on and congratulating each other when crossing the finishing line.
Ms Watts said without the support of the Lions Club members the event wouldn’t be what it is.
“I just want to thank everyone who was involved with organising the event, it was an amazing day,” Ms Watts said.
“It’s such a great event, we do it for the people.”
