Minor premiers Kempsey Saints Green suffered a 3-1 loss to Port United in the Women’s Northern League grand final qualifier on Saturday. The two sides couldn’t be separated at half-time as they went into the sheds at nil-all. However, Saints Green broke the deadlock early in the second half. The lead was short lived though as Port United received a penalty and converted to level the scores. Port United then put their noses in front with 15-minutes remaining and clinched the victory with their third goal in the final minute. Saints Green face off with the Macleay Valley Rangers in a preliminary final this Saturday. Also making the news:
