Spectators will be able to get up close and personal with the pilots and their models by following to the end of the road once they enter the airport proper.
There will be no cost to witness these jets in action thanks to the generosity of the Sky Aces club and Kempsey Shire Council.
It is estimated that more than 20 pilots and models will be present with pilots coming from as far away as Victoria and Queensland.
The average cost of each of these models is approximately $15,000 and are the exact scale replicas of modern jet fighters from many countries across the world.
The jets are powered by turbine engines, running on jet fuel, and can reach speeds in excess of 300 kilometres per hour and are fully aerobatic.
Pilots and their aircraft have to be fully qualified and approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority is sought for their operation at the airport.
The jets will be complimented on Sunday by parachutests from Coffs Sky Divers who will have jumpers free falling from 10,000 feet and landing on the aerodrome proper in close proximity to spectators.
Paul Bennett from Paul Bennett Air Shows will also be in attendance flying his model which is fully aerobatic while emitting a clearly visible smoke trail.
For those requiring refreshments drinks, coffee, tea, hamburgers and light snacks will be available from the aero club building throughout the day.
It is hoped in the not too distant future to organise a national event at Kempsey Airport which should attract more than 60 pilots, their families, and their models to the Macleay Valley from all over Australia.
The Sky Aces model jets club claim it has the potential to inject more than $800,000 into the Kempsey economy over the three-day weekend.
