Visitors hailed from Bellbrook, Dorrigo, South West Rocks, Kalang, and even from as far away as Poland!
The usual suspects were also there: the Marn Golf Tour lads were back and rocking a lime green uniform, while noone could miss the iconic Gunnedah boys on their 21st pilgrimage to Bowraville while dressed head to toe in fluoro.
Families scattered across the lawn with picnics at foot, and one special lady was celebrating her 23rd birthday in style.
Guess who won the best dressed awards:
The signature race of the day, the Bowraville Hotel’s Bowra Cup, ended in a thrilling sprint to the post by the two odds-on favourites of the day: Landmarks and Sniponet.
But it was Andrew Gibbons on the chestnut filly from Taree, trained by Wayne Wilkes, that took out the coveted trophy.
Today’s win for Sniponet came off the back of another blinder at Tuncurry a couple of weeks ago in a 14-horse field.
