The prize, a beautiful art work, was won by a man who was suitably delighted.
The Jockey Club would like to publicly thank the artist and the art group, who have a close affinity with the
club, for the gift of the art work and to the volunteers who sold the tickets on the day.
A great day’s racing was again experienced at Bowraville and the seven-race card produced some close and exciting finishes. Racing at Bowraville is growing in popularity and another great day was had by all attendees.
The main event was won by five-year-old gelding Sniponet with Andrew Gibbons aboard.
The Wayne Wilkes trained charger won by one-and-a-half lengths from Landmarks, with Social Pirate a further length back.
The Neil Godbolt trained seven-year-old gelding Dixie Lad was next best at fourth.
In the final race of the seven-race program, four-year-old mare Cherry Princess headed home from I’ll Take Money and Mosgiel Lucy.
