Local cricketers Callan McKiernan, Jackson Korn and Ben Taylor have been selected into the Mid North Coast representative side, the Macquarie Stingers for the Regional Big Bash held this weekend.

McKiernan has been appointed as the vice-captain of the side while fellow Rovers teammate Korn was picked as a wicketkeeper.
Taylor, who captains Nulla’s Premier League side, has been picked as a spin bowler.
Port Macquarie will host the Regional Big Bash this season on October 6 and 7.
The competition attracts the best young cricketers from across the North Coast and they all plan to leave their mark and attempt to earn selection into further representative sides.
Oxley Oval and Wayne Richards Park are the venues for all games. Each oval will feature games.
On Saturday the games will be at 2pm. On Sunday the games are at 9.30am and 1.30pm.
The winner moves on to the next knockout stage.
The aim for all teams is make the final and play on the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Mid North Coast home team is the Macquarie Coast Stingers.
The team encourages as many people as possible to attend the ovals to make noise for our home regional team.
This will be top level T20 cricket at its best.
The Premier League season commences October 13.
