Students were able to donate silver coins for the week and also had a ‘dress as a farmer’ out of uniform day with gold coin donation on the last day to raise a staggering $1035 for our farmer fundraiser.
The money will be donated to Gulargambone Central School, an hour north of Dubbo, who will use the money to purchase lunch for their students as part of the ‘lunch on us’ initiative within their local community to support businesses doing it tough with the drought.
Kempsey students will also have a video conference with Gulargambone Central School next term which will help them form a connection with the students who they helped raise money for.
