A caravan was broken into at the Slim Dusty Festival on Saturday night at the Kempsey Showground.

Around 11.30pm a male in his 20s entered the annex area of the caravan.
He was startled by the 67 year old female occupant of the caravan and pushed her to the ground when she attempted to stop him.
The perpetrator fled the scene with a stolen iPad and handbag, both items were later found on the footpath of Tozer Street in West Kempsey.
The items have been seized for forensic analysis.
The female victim suffered a cut lip and was treated by paramedics.
Police were unable to track the offender and urge any members of the public who have any information regarding the incident to contact Kempsey Police on 6561-6199 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
