Several Babes in the Woods have been added to the script plus Winnie Widebottom who is a positive scream.
Robin’s wardrobe goes beyond green hose (stockings) and Sherwood cap to embrace a kilt and pink pleated singlet.
The Sheriff is still nasty but sports number 13 size wellington boots (very Doz) and a cameo highlight features two, hardly-out-of-the-burrow dancing rabbits.
Not exactly Nottingham, but darn good fun.
Director Dina Luciani has cast eight adults and seven youngsters; all have been working hard for three months and the results are obvious.
The club has shown total faith in Dina and her diverse cast, booking the show for a season of eight performances, October 31 and November 2–11 with a choice of afternoons, evenings and nights.
Dorrigo Dramatic Club has a rich history of maintaining live theatre of all sorts on the Plateau since 1955.
The Old Gazette Theatre, an intimate and steeply raked space, is a perfect setting for this “all of the family” panto where cheering and hissing will be encouraged.
