Of 26 sites around Nambucca spoilt by graffiti Lions members tackled four, covering or removing the images.
This annual event was established by the NSW Government with sponsorship by Dulux, Selleys, Techni-Clean and Rotary.
At a later date the team will attempt to remove some more resistant graffiti.
Lions President, Grahame Beaton, said Lions cannot however be expected to police or remove all of it.
“By our actions we wish to encourage the community to actually discourage graffiti and report this vandalism to our shire council,” Mr Beaton said.
“Prompt reporting of damage and graffiti enhances ready removal and keeps our town looking great.”
