The Gift final will be run this evening and Macksville has a starter in the chase for the big money as Jack Mitchell has qualified.
Events over the day have included the full bore 120m to the 70m dash, and 300m contests.
The World Championship Banana Hurl has also been underway, ahead of the finals for that tonight – and the firework light show.

But the entertainment hasn’t been restricted to inside the white lines – and a terrific addition to the 65th carnival was a performance of high end dance by the talents from the Valley Performing Arts Centre.
So if you want to see some of the nation’s fastest men and women – head to Macksville Park for the all-star finals.
