The auxiliary’s famous Christmas Stall will feature the creative and curious, as well as delicious baked goodies to cater for the party season.
Auxiliary President Aileen Lewthwaite said anyone looking for a unique Christmas present or festive culinary delights should not miss next Wednesday’s stall which helps raise funds for Kempsey District Hospital.
“There will be home-made, home-baked and home-grown goodies, books, plants and so much more,” Ms Lewthwaite said.
“And with Christmas just around the corner, shoppers are guaranteed to find the right presents at bargain prices to suit anyone and everyone.”
Proceeds from the fete will help the volunteers in their quest to purchase equipment for the hospital.
The volunteers presented Kempsey District Hospital with more than $18,000 worth of equipment in the past year, including respiratory machines, operating theatre equipment and physiotherapy aids.
“Our support for our local hospital really comes down to community support for our fundraisers,” Ms Lewthwaite said.
“Kempsey is a generous community and that generosity has supported our fundraisers for more than 100 years.”
The Christmas Stall starts at 9am on 5 December and will be at the Polwood Street entrance to the hospital.
It will also be the community’s last chance to buy tickets in the UHA’s Christmas Raffle, featuring prizes donated by the local business community.
Anyone wanting to donate plants, handicraft or baked goodies to the stall can drop their gift at the hospital’s administration office.
