Club members and locals returned to the club the following day, some nursing hangovers, to witness the big duck race on New Year’s Day.
The club held the duck race as a fundraiser and they send their thanks to the supporters.
Ducks are dropped off the Crescent Head bridge and they race down the creek and the owner of the winning duck receives a prize.
Duck races will continue through January on a Sunday with times depending on the tide.
The funds raised will go towards important equipment for the club.
The Nippers program will continue throughout January in the lead up to the Country Championships which will be held at Cudgen Headland in February.
