Stalls selling everything from succulent cacti through to succulent savouries were a feature – as was the main live music performance stage at the hub of the seaside park reserve.
But the grooves and song of the entertainers was occasionally staccatoed by the wail of sirens as the Valla Beach bush fire brigade trucks put on a show to delight and inform the local community.
It was a Goldlilocks setting – with the temperature and breeze perfect for the punters after the stinky sweater that was Saturday.
And as has become a trademark exhibitor at the fair – the ol’ boys with their even older machines were there and willing to chat all things clanking.
