Positions on the table of the lower grades in the Macleay Valley Cricket Association are closely contested as the sides enter the second half of the season.
In the second grade competition, Frederickton have moved into equal first position after they defeated the then leaders South West Rocks in a Twenty20 match on Saturday.
Frederickton completed a successful run chase as they surpassed South West Rocks’ total of 86 with three overs remaining.
Meanwhile Nulla Billy Goats leapfrogged Rovers after they annihilated them in their short overs match.
An unbeaten 157 from Zac McKiernan set up Nulla’s victory as Rovers reached only 140 in response to Nulla’s total of 225.
Nulla C&G Electrics are in last spot and had the bye on Saturday.
The third grade competition remains on break until February 2. Only nine points separate the four teams with South West Rocks currently holding onto the top spot.
