Bowraville has a current temperature of about 28 degrees, and it is expected to reach 34 before the end of the day. Saturday is promising to bring sky-high temperatures of 37, rivalling temperatures being seen in Sydney and Canberra. Sunday should cool slightly with only a top of 30 expected and possible showers. The new week will bring more warm weather with the potential for thunderstorms near the middle of the week.
Nambucca Heads is currently sitting on a warm 27 degrees with temperatures expected to go as high as 29 near the middle of the day. The weekend is shaping up to be a scorcher with tops of 33 expected. There is some relief in sight for Sunday with only a high of 27 forecast and potential showers. However, the start of next week promises to bring more stinking hot days.
Valla Beach is expected to reach a top of 31 degrees today before temperatures hit 33 on Saturday, Sunday should bring a high of 28. The start of next week will bring more temperatures around the 28 mark, with potential thunderstorms forecast for the midweek.
Macksville has a current temperature of about 30 degrees, with highs of 33 expected before the end of the day. Saturday will bring a 36-degree day and no relief in sight until Sunday when it should drop down to 30. Next week promises to be a hot one with temperatures staying in the low 30s; relief could be in sight by the end of the week though with a possible thunderstorm.
Scott's Head will reach a top of 31 degrees today, then Saturday is expected to bring highs of 33. Sunday will cool down with only a top temperature of 28 expected. While the new week will be a hot one, a thunderstorm is expected later in the week.

With temperatures set to soar across all of NSW week, the State Emergency Operations Controller is urging residents to monitor weather reports and follow health and safety advice.
NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Jeff Loy said advice from the Bureau of Meteorology indicates temperatures are expected to increase over the coming days and into the weekend to above 40 degrees in some areas.
“As the weather heats up, I cannot stress strongly enough to motorists that it’s not only an offence for children or pets to be left unattended in a vehicle, it can be deadly,” Deputy Commissioner Loy said.
“It can be just as dangerous to leave the elderly and disabled members of the community in cars during days of extreme heat,”

Meanwhile, there are currently several fires burning around the region. The closet to the Nambucca Valley is 71km away at Glenreagh and is reportedly 60ha in size, while there aren’t any blazes nearby, everyone is still cautioned to stay vigilant.
