The celebrations kicked off early with both the Crescent Head and South West Rocks Lions Club putting on a Aussie breakfast for the crowds.
Mayor Liz Campbell and the Australia Day Ambassador Diana Ryall AM attended the breakfast in Crescent Head and presented the Citizens of the Year Awards to the lucky locals.
“Crescent Head really is where you get the best Aussie breakfast on Australia Day,” Mayor Campbell said.
Locals also made their way to the beaches after breakfast and made the best of the sunny and warm weather.
In South West Rocks there was plenty of good old Aussie fun to be had with the annual crab racing competition at the Seabreeze Beach Hotel.
Then it was time to relax, kick back and enjoy a cold one with family and friends.
