To give several instances, the people dressed in blue who uphold law and order are policemen, not coppers.
A hero is someone who knowingly puts their own well-being at risk to assist others, not someone who plays sport.
A machine which uses a horizontal propeller to levitate is a helicopter, not a chopper.
Tell it like it is.
Anyone who believes that mankind hasn't contributed to global warming is unwise.
Anyone who believes closing down Australia's coal industry will reverse the onset of climate change is also not understanding the truth as in the minute we stop shipments Indonesia, South Africa, Canada, Columbia will quickly fill the void.
Those who think that the recent death of 100,000 cattle because of drought and flooding is unique are ignorant and should read a bit of history.
In three years of drought during WW1 Sidney Kidman lost 85,000 cattle, 140,000 sheep and 16,000 horses.
Maybe to get some rigour back into English grammar, and I'm fully aware spelling and pronunciation are no longer requisites for students especially at universities, the charge can be led by a provincial newspaper, rather like the Macleay Argus.
There are many who would support such vision.
